![]() President Obama to Visit New Hampshire on August 11th, 2009FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 5, 2009 As a candidate, Barack Obama heard from working families in New Hampshire about the need for health care reform. As President, he has made health care reform a priority and no amount of right-wing rhetoric or staged teabagger activities will overcome the real life stories he heard then and now. America’s health care system is broken and President Obama is going to fix it. New Hampshire families and small businesses have called for comprehensive health care reform time and again. Working Families Win and its members support a strong public health option and health care reform that includes: • A standard package of comprehensive benefits including dental, vision, mental health, preventative care and prescription drug coverage with no pre-existing condition exclusions. • Care that redresses historical disparities in underrepresented communities. • A limit on cost-sharing so that there are no barriers to care, and incorporate up-to-date best practice models to improve quality and lower costs. Working Families Win and other pro-health care advocates will be out in strength during the visit next Tuesday August 11th to support President Obama’s plans to move our country forward.
