Concord, NH – Today, Tuesday July 28, the New Hampshire arm of Health Care for America Now (HCAN) – the nation’s largest health care campaign – will generate calls to Representative Carol Shea Porter and Representative Paul Hodes encouraging them to vote for H.R. 3200, America’s Affordable Health Choices Act, before they leave for August recess at the end of the week.

HCAN partners across the country will generate more than 50,000 contacts to the US House of Representatives today alone.

Representatives Hodes and Shea Porter will hear from constituents who will leaflet outside public buildings, volunteers who will generate calls, and members of organizations who will deliver hand-written letters to the district office asking them to support this legislation to make health care more affordable for everyone and to give everyone the choice of a public health insurance option.

The floor vote on HB 3200 represents a historical step in health care reform that would bring Granite Staters closer to having strong, affordable health care than ever before. Local organizations and volunteers will call Representatives Hodes and Shea-Porter to encourage them to support the bill and to encourage their colleagues to vote yes as well.
